On August 25, 2010, Dr. Ahmed Sheriff together with Birgit Vogt, Dr. Rudolf Kunze, Stephan Hiller and Dr. Bernd Wegener founded Pentracor GmbH to implement the idea of CRP apheresis for acute inflammation-driven diseases such as myocardial infarction. With the development of the world's only selective CRP adsorber and its approval, they and their team of employees, many of whom have been with the company from the beginning, laid the foundation for the new therapy in the clinic.
For 10 years now, numerous employees have been working on the production, further development and marketing of the PentraSorb® CRP adsorber. We are highly motivated to make CRP apheresis available to as many patients as possible.
